Our Services

At the Hebron Animal Hospital, we are very proud to incorporate the latest advances in Medicine and Surgery for our patients! Below you will find just a few of the wonderful advances available:

  • Endoscope: a minimally invasive diagnostic medical procedure used to assess the interior surfaces of an organ by inserting a tube into the body. The instrument may have a rigid or flexible tube and not only provide an image for inspection and photography, but also enable taking biopsies and retrieval of foreign objects. Endoscopy is the vehicle for minimally invasive surgery.

  • Anesthetics: numerous “safer” drugs are available that ensure quicker, pain-free recovery from surgical procedures. For those of you familiar with anesthetics, we extensively use Hydromorphone, Diazepam, Ketamine, Propofol, and Isoflorane and Sevoflorane gas anesthetic agents!

  • Analgesia: Post-operative pain management has been a hot topic in the past 5-10 years! Previously a poorly conceived notion that pets did not experience pain as humans do has been debunked! Fentanyl Patches, epidurals, and numerous injectable and oral analgesics are extensively used to make your pet more comfortable!

  • Anesthetic Monitoring: Monitoring the patients while under anesthesia is critical to their well-being! Highly trained LVTs and the newest equipment are necessary! The surgical staff incorporates Blood Flow Ultrasonic Doppler, Pulse Oximetry, EKG, Capnography, and Blood Pressure Monitoring (MAP, Systolic, and diastolic). We only use frequently calibrated Tech IV vaporizers for our gas agents!

  • Radiology

  • Dental Radiography

  • Complete Dentistry: Most people are unaware that pets often suffer the same problems of the mouth that people do, most commonly periodontal disease. Statistically, periodontal disease is the most common, but least identified or treated disease of companion animals. The Hebron Animal Hospital is proud to offer what many cannot—complete dentistry, including root canals, crowns, restorations, and advanced techniques to save your pet’s teeth.

  • Intravenous infusion pumps are used whenever a pet must be on intravenous fluids. This ensures that the patient gets only the PRESCRIBED amount of fluids at the prescribed rate, preventing patients from being over-hydrated or sounding an alarm should their be an interruption in the flow of fluids!

  • Surgery: We use heated surgical tables to prevent hypothermia! The Surgery Suite is very well equipped indeed! Surgical Laser units greatly reduce blood loss and post-operative pain by sealing the blood vessels and nerve endings as they cut! A very high-tech method of providing superior care and minimal discomfort to your pets! We also have the capability to do extensive orthopedic surgeries, including bone plating, external fixators, cruciate ligament repairs, and we have even done spinal and thoracic/heart surgeries! A long list of surgical equipment provides all the right tools for our Doctors to do their job right!

  • Elective Procedures: Elective procedures include ovariohysterectomies, castrations, otoplasties (ear crops), and feline onychectomies (declaws)

  • Preventative medicine, i.e. vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick control.

  • Ultrasonography/Echocardiography

  • All services are administered by highly qualified, compassionate and expertly trained veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians. We are committed to treating your pet as if he/she were our own pet, and make our recommendations in the care provided as what we would want for our own pets.
